How a consulting engagement runs

Kickoff and goals
We go through the project background, the goals, and the questions you want answered. One or two hours.

Assessment phase
We review the code, architecture, documentation, and talk to the team. Usually 1–3 weeks.

Written recommendation and discussion
We deliver a document with our findings, the risks, and concrete next-step suggestions. We walk through it together.

How long does a consulting engagement take?
Typically two to four weeks, depending on the size of the system and the scope of the questions. We agree on a timeline up front and stick to it.
What does consulting cost?
A fixed total price agreed beforehand. The same price for everyone who asks. A two-week consulting engagement is usually €12,000–€22,000.
Do you only deliver a document, or do you also build?
We always recommend the path that best serves the project. Most engagements end either as a continued partnership with us, or with us recommending another firm we trust.
Do we need to be in Tampere?
No. We work in Finnish and English across Finland and abroad when the project fits.
Does AI affect the consulting timeline?
We use AI in the assessment phase to read code and map architecture, so a 1–3 week review runs more efficiently than it used to. The recommendations themselves still come from human judgement.
